Joel Thielen
Joel Thielen is a State Licensed (L.Ac.) Nationally Certified (Dipl. Ac. NCCAOM) Acupuncturist. He graduated with honors from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine, (Chicago/Racine) one of the oldest schools of Oriental Medicine in the United States. He wrote his master thesis on face reading in Chinese Medicine, and consults for other practitioners on difficult cases. Joel was selected to work with a senior acupuncturist from Madison, WI at one of the busiest pain clinics in the Midwest. He personally treated between 20-30 patients per day. Joel received extensive training in Advanced Acupuncture Medicine. He continues his training to bring the most effective techniques to Dubuque and to deliver acupuncture that really works.

Elements Acupuncture Inc. opened in December 2006. We treat patients four days a week at our Radford Rd location and one day a week at the Babka Wellness Center at Finley Hospital. Our goal is to help patients overcome health challenges while at the same time guiding them towards a more balanced lifestyle. We believe that health does not just mean freedom from disease, but achieving optimal well-being physically, emotionally, and mentally.

Jason Burke
Jason Burke, L.Ac., earned his Master’s in Oriental Medicine in 2002 from Emperor’s College in Santa Monica, CA, where his training included in-depth study of herbal medicine and acupuncture alongside some of the finest teachers in the country. He began his practice working in a busy low-income clinic in Portland, Oregon, treating a wide variety of health concerns, including but not limited to pain, digestive disorders, women’s health, allergies, depression and anxiety. He is happy to help spread the many benefits of Chinese Medicine in the Dubuque area.
